CGR filter press fabric

cgr-filter-press.png

A CGR filter press fabric is specifically designed for CGR plates—which stands for Caulked, Gasketed, Recessed chamber. These plates are engineered for leak-free operations by embedding an O‑ring around the recessed groove, into which the octagonal-shaped cloth is tightly caulked The cloth typically includes a sewn cord or gasket around its edge to ensure a secure fit that prevents wicking or dripping, resulting in drier filter cakes

These fabrics are usually made from polypropylene or polyester, available in various weave styles like satin or twill. Polypropylene is a common choice, offering excellent chemical resistance, temperature tolerance, and durability under high pressure and  Cloth sizes range from 400 mm up to 2000 mm and are often factory-cut and edge-sealed with latex or EPDM rubber barrelnecks to minimize leak potential

🔧 Benefits of CGR Fabric

  • Near-zero leakage due to gasket integration in cloth and sealing at plate interfaces

  • Enhanced cloth protection: the recessed design supports the fabric surface for consistent filtration

  • Durability and long service life, even in harsh conditions
